Can the new camera capabilities of the new iPhone 7 capture the creativeness of real photographers?
Apple keeps getting closer and closer to what they think is an ideal camera for photographers on their new iPhone 7. But will the iPhone 7 camera be enough to keep you from using your tried and trued DSLR or Mirrorless cameras and switching to iPhone 7 photography? Afraid not. Don’t get me wrong those are great features and it will it will help millions of people take better pictures. But a phone, even and iPhone is not going to replace a DSLR Camera.
In case this is all foreign news to you, Apple announced a new member to its flagship iPhone line up: the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus. Each has been equipped with some new camera gear. Here is some more detailed information I found on the web.

The devices have been fit with a dual 12-megapixel camera module which has improved image stabilization and a 28mm f/1.8 aperture lens. Apple has also improved on the design of the camera by creating a wide-angle color capture — which, without any more real details, one can assume means that color information capture has been improved to enrich images.
If you go for the larger model, the iPhone 7 Plus, the camera also comes with an additional telephoto lens at 56mm f/2.8 — which is not generally considered up to the focal length standards of what is deemed a “telephoto” lens — for 2-times optical zoom and 10 times digital zoom through software.
If you select the new “portrait” setting while taking a photo, the iPhone automatically switches to this lens, which is a fair angle and magnification length for portraiture.
Time will tell if the new features are a must have or how well they actually work. For now it is just here say from Apple. Lets see what it really looks like when the new iPhones hit shelves later this month.
